In many Indigenous traditions, rites of passage mark the sacred thresholds of life—transitions that call for deep reflection, reverence, and renewal. Yet, in modern culture, we often move from one phase to the next without pause, without honoring the transformation taking place within us.

The Wilderness Rites of Passage Vision Quest is an 8-day ceremonial journey designed to create space for true initiation, a time to honor what has been and claim what is ready to emerge. Whether you are stepping into adulthood, embracing the empty nest, transitioning through menopause, moving through grief, shifting careers, or stepping into elderhood—this is an opportunity to consciously mark the passage from one season of life to the next.

The retreat unfolds in three phases:

Preparation in Community – We begin by gathering together, grounding in intention, and preparing for the solo time in nature. Through guided reflection and ceremony, you will receive the tools and teachings needed for your time alone.
Four Days & Nights in the Wilderness – Alone in the wild, without distractions, you will fast, reflect, and listen deeply to the land, your body, and your spirit. This is a time of release, transformation, and communion with something greater than yourself.
Integration & Return – After your time in solitude, we gather again in community to witness and honor each person’s journey, anchoring the insights and truths that have emerged.

This is not just a retreat—it is a rite of passage, a sacred threshold, a space to see yourself fully, honor who you have been, and step forward with clarity into who you are becoming.

We will gather together before the Vision Quest on June 22 from 10am-6pm in Sparta, MI to learn some of the tenants of the ceremony and go over all logistical details for the fast. We will then meet at 8am on August 9th up north by Baldwin, MI and will conclude August 17th by 3pm.
$1350 - $2850 Deposit: $350 to hold your spot - 6 spots available
The Cabin is located on 20 acres of land with the Pere Marquette river running through it, and is bordered by 800 acres of National Forest. The Cabin also has a wood fired hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower.
Meals before and after the 4-night Vision Fast are provided.
Bunkrooms and linens are provided before and after the 4-night vision quest. A full list of supplies needed will be provided at the meeting on June 22.
