The Vision Quest: Where endings are honored and beginnings are born.

There comes a time when we feel the truth: the old season is complete, and a new one is ready to begin. A Vision Quest is a ceremony for that threshold. It is an ancient way of marking transition — of honoring what has been, and calling in what is ready to emerge.

For four days and four nights, you will be alone in the wilderness, fasting from distraction and turning toward what you are truly hungry for. This time of solitude is held within the larger container of community: before your solo time, we prepare together in circle; after you return, we gather again to share your story and witness what has been born.

This is both a solitary and communal journey. You walk alone. And you are never alone.

  • This ceremony is for those standing at a threshold — ready to honor the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another. Participants may be marking passages such as:

    • Adulthood

    • Menopause

    • Elderhood

    • Empty nesting

    • Divorce or separation

    • The death of a loved one

    • The death of a dream

    • Any moment of transition where the old is done, and the new calls to be welcomed

    • Four days and nights solo in nature — a time of deep listening, surrender, and discovery

    • Preparation circles — to ground your intention and name the threshold you are crossing

    • Integration circle — to share your story, be mirrored, and weave it back into community

    A framework rooted in the four directions/four shields, honoring cycles of life, death, and renewal

  • Because every threshold deserves to be honored. To step away from daily life and into the wild is to say yes to transformation. This is not a retreat; it is a ceremony — an act of courage and devotion. In the stillness of wilderness and the holding of community, you will meet yourself anew, and return with a story that carries medicine for your life and for the world.

 DETAILS

  • On June 7th from 10am - 4pm, we will gather for a day-long meeting before the Vision Quest in Sparta, MI to learn some of the tenants of the ceremony and go over all logistical details for the fast. We will then meet at The Cabin in Bitely, MI on 8am on August 8th and will conclude August 16th by 3pm.

  • $1350 - $2850 Deposit: $350 to hold your spot - 6 spots available

  • Meals before and after the 4-night Vision Fast are provided.

  • Bunkrooms and linens are provided before and after the 4-night vision quest. A full list of supplies needed will be provided at the meeting in June.

    The Cabin is located on 20 acres of land with the Pere Marquette river running through it, and is bordered by 800 acres of National Forest. The Cabin also has a wood fired hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower.
